Scottish Parliament Research Project: Family Law (Scotland) Bill 2019
The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body is seeking to award a contract for research on behalf of the Justice Committee.

The Family Law (Scotland) Bill (‘the Bill’) is due to be introduced this year. The Justice Committee is likely to be appointed the lead committee, with Stage 1 of the parliamentary consideration of the Bill expected to commence in the autumn.

This small research project will support the Justice Committee’s consideration of the Bill. It will explore the relationship between the Bill and human rights, including children’s rights.

The research is based on Scots Law and Children's /Human Rights and it will take the form of a desk-based literature review. The final research outcome will take the form of a written document and a presentation of findings to the Scottish Parliament Justice Committee.
