Please note we do not allow suction hooks, rice cookers, fairy lights and door stop within student accommodation flats and you already have a desk light, ironing board, and noticeboard within your allocated accommodation.
Laundry
Both Westfield & Gorgie have central laundry rooms, which incur an additional charge for usage. Our laundry provider is CIRCUIT.
Each wash cycle costs £3.50 and each dry cycle is £2.00 (prices may increase in September 2024). Students need to provide their own laundry detergent or fabric softener.
You will need to download the Circuit Plus App in order to top-up your account and pay for each load.

Heating
Each room features its own touch-screen electric radiator with a 1 hour or 2 hour setting.
Wifi
We provide free WiFi throughout all our accommodation sites. Our Wi-Fi provider is Ask4.
Support
The flats are managed by a dedicated team of accommodation staff including Accommodation Officers and Resident Assistants. Staff are trained to handle all aspects of tenancy management and provide support and guidance to students throughout the year.
Contact details of your Accommodation Officer and Resident Assistants will be displayed on the noticeboard of your flat and at all accommodation site receptions.
Security
CCTV is installed at all sites and security patrols are carried out regularly 24 hours a day. Security will often be found at the accommodation sites during the evenings and weekends.
Service Charges
Please note that during your stay in Gorgie and Westfield, service charges may differ from Edinburgh Napier University accommodation sites. More information will be available directly from the Capitol Students team of staff onsite.
Content Insurance
Endsleigh cover is not available for students staying in our nominations agreement accommodation (Capitol Students Westfield & Gorgie), however, you can arrange this independently and at your own cost if required.
TV License
You will be required to purchase a TV license, if applicable, at an additional cost.
Guarantor
Please use the instructions on the online application system to complete and upload the Guarantor Form to the online application system.
You can print, complete, scan or take a picture and then upload this form onto the online application system here. If you are unable to do so, please email a copy of your completed guarantor form to accommodation@napier.ac.uk quoting your Edinburgh Napier number.
Digital signatures are not accepted, we need three hand signatures of student, guarantor, and a witness unrelated to the student or guarantor.
Deposit
No deposit required when booking via Edinburgh Napier University.
Transfers
Transfers within Capitol Students accommodation can be requested (depending on availability within Edinburgh Napier pre-reserved accommodation only), however transfers from Capitol Students to other Edinburgh Napier student accommodation is not available.
Other information
Every two weeks we will conduct a flat kitchen inspection where our team make sure that the property is treated respectfully and that residents are maintaining good levels of hygiene. After each inspection you will receive a score out of 50 with a focus on areas such as the condition of the ovens, hobs, worktops, the amount of waste or food waste etc. If your kitchen falls under a mark of 20, a re-inspection will be scheduled offering you and your flatmates an opportunity to keep things clean.
Locked out? No problem, head to reception where our team will ID you and allow access back into your flat or room. If you have lost your fob, you will need to purchase a new one for £20 from the reception desk.
All accommodation is non-smoking in the flats and stairwells. This includes e-cigarettes and vapes. A designated smoking area can be found outside towards the rear of the property.
