Scholarship Details

The Garrick Scholarship was established at Edinburgh Napier University in 2007 through an annual donation by a Hong Kong based British Businessman who is a descendent of David Garrick, the eighteenth-century theatre impresario and who is a generous supporter and adviser to Edinburgh Napier University. This scholarship enables an exceptional international student to develop their talent at the prestigious Screen Academy Scotland, benefiting from Edinburgh’s connections as an international centre for creative industries.

The scholarship provides funding up to £14,100 towards the payment of tuition fees to support talented students studying MA Screenwriting at Edinburgh Napier University an Screen Academy Scotland.

Criteria For Applicants

  • International Students who are interested and eligible for postgraduate study full-time on the MA Film programme.
  • Applicants must apply for a place on the MA Screenwriting programme at Edinburgh Napier University and Screen Academy Scotland prior to applying for the Garrick Scholarship.
