Order of Ceremony

All graduands and their guests should remain in the Usher Hall auditorium throughout the ceremony, from the start of the entrance processions to the recessional. The ceremony is an enjoyable, formal occasion and graduands and guests are asked to be respectful of the event and the experience of other attendees.

Order of Ceremony

A piper plays at the beginning of each ceremony and the Assembly stands, if able, for the Entrance Processions.

The Principal & Vice Chancellor asks the Graduands to stand, if able, for the Act of Conferment

The Principal & Vice Chancellor invites the Assembly to stand, where able

 

Recessional

The Mace-bearer will lead the recessional. The Principal & Vice Chancellor Procession will leave the stage, followed by the Academic Procession and the Graduates’ Procession.
