I knew that Edinburgh Napier University was an international school but it didn't sink in until the first day of classes. I was sitting among students from France, Germany, Netherlands, China, Philippines, Spain, Poland, India, Romania, and the list continues. The international diversity at Edinburgh Napier sets the university apart from other universities and provides a rich learning environment that you may not find elsewhere.
“It was a memorable and incredible experience”
I've joined the Edinburgh Napier Chamber Choir (ENCC) which is a club within the Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association. We have weekly practices and a few concerts throughout the year. Last week, the choir sang in the Annual Academic Service at St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. It's a church service that takes place at the beginning of each academic year and includes the ENCC, the chamber choir from the University of Edinburgh, and the St. Giles Cathedral choir. It was a memorable and incredible experience. I put that, among other things, on the list of things I never thought I'd get to do.

I was recently in Copenhagen and while it had its own charm and beauty, when I returned to Edinburgh, I couldn't help but notice that other cities don't compare when it comes to aesthetic appeal. In the city centre there is an abundance of interesting architecture, green spaces and hidden alleyways. On my way home from campus I can see the ocean and Arthur's Seat sitting beyond the tree-laden cobble stone streets. I love living in such a beautiful place.
“Not all universities can supply the wealth of knowledge I have gained at Edinburgh Napier”
I'm hoping that the international experience Edinburgh Napier University provides its students will give me a competitive advantage after I graduate. All business schools can teach me the principles of marketing. Not all universities can supply the wealth of knowledge I have gained and will continue to obtain as I work and associate with people from all over the world at Edinburgh Napier.
