Beenish from Pakistan talks about her life at Edinburgh Napier University.
“Many alumni have started their own businesses”
I chose to do my MBA with Leadership Practice at Edinburgh Napier University because the course will not only provide me with theoretical knowledge but also important practical skills - it has a work placement opportunity. As a result of the course, many alumni have started their own businesses in the past 10 years. I found the course here at Edinburgh Napier most suitable for me because of the entrepreneurial focus. I am highly satisfied with all the teaching staff as they are very helpful and are concerned about the development of each student.
Edinburgh Napier is one of the most modern universities with all the latest technologies. All the classrooms are highly equipped and the online library search provides you with easy access to thousands of books. The University provides career services for new students like part-time job fairs and CV doctors. The University always tries to keep students engaged through a variety of seminars, events and activities.
"The experience of a lifetime”
Edinburgh is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is famous for its art festivals, hospitality, culture and magnificent architecture. Life in Edinburgh is the experience of a lifetime - the city is extremely walkable, with lots of cafes and museums. There is lots to explore here - shopping centres, nice and affordable accommodation, festivals, Edinburgh's Christmas markets, old bookshops and so much more.
“I want to contribute to the Pakistani economy as a female leader”
As I am from Pakistan where there is much less women empowerment, after completing my MBA with Leadership Practice I want to contribute to the Pakistani economy as a female leader and I want to achieve a senior management position in a multinational firm. Along with that, I want to do my PhD and do further research in management and business studies.
