The aim of the session is to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skills that enable you to understand yourself and influence your future.
This workshop offers an opportunity for participants to develop new skills and competencies enabling you to pivot into new roles and new opportunities. These skills will help you transition to new employment as well as offering an opportunity for those wanting to start up new business to extend their skills to help support that ambition.
The workshop will enable you to both embed your learning and accelerate the development of your personal profile to be work ready. It is funded through the Scottish Funding Council Upskilling Fund – there is no charge to participants.
This workshop enables you to undertake a skills and behavioural profile as a base for thinking about your entrepreneurial experiences and your wider skills and capabilities.
Additionally the workshop helps you develop your skills in getting business and pitching your ideas to potential clients, stakeholders, and influencers. What can you say about what you offer in an exciting way that has impact!
Entry requirements
A limited number of places are available with full funding provided from the Scottish Funding Council.
- Applicants must therefore be a Scottish resident to be eligible for this funded intake.
- You will need to have access to a tablet, laptop or p.c. and have access to a reasonable Wi-Fi connection.
- You also need to make sure that you have access to MS Teams and have enrolled onto the Moodle course site (log in details will be sent in advance).

How you'll be taught and assessed
This 3-hour workshop is delivered through a series of collaborative applied activities underpinned by entrepreneurial and self -leadership. The workshop runs on Wednesday 8th May 2024. In groups and break out sessions, you will be asked to undertake short co-operative working activities. These are designed to help you embed the learning and explore issues that directly apply to you. The workshops will be online and delivered via MS Teams. You will be enrolled onto the virtual learning platform (Moodle Community) for this course where all workshop materials will be uploaded and available to you.
