Dementia is every Allied Health Professionals (AHP) business, irrespective of practice setting. Access this short course to share and advance your AHP practice, in partnership with people living with dementia.

Dementia is recognised as a global public health concern, and in the United Kingdom it is estimated approximately 850,000 people live with this diagnosis. Consequently, allied health professionals (AHPs) will work with persons living with dementia, and/or their caregivers and supporters, irrespective of practice context.

A key message of Scottish Government policy is that dementia is every AHP's business, irrespective of practice setting (CPCS, 2017, 2020). This includes, across the UK, the right of people living with dementia to access AHP rehabilitation services.
