Create safer, more inclusive sport environments that support the mental health and wellbeing of participants

Overview

Designed for coaches, staff, and volunteers across sport and sport-for-development settings.

Course Details

This interactive course supports learners to reflect on the environments they create—both on and off ‘the pitch’ — and how their behaviours, communication, and decision-making influence participants’ experiences.

Through a combination of evidence-informed content, real-world case studies, and reflective activities, participants will learn how to:

  • Recognise and respond to risks within their environments
  • Foster physically and emotionally safe spaces
  • Promote inclusion, respect, and positive wellbeing outcomes through sport

How you’ll be taught

This interactive course is fully flexible, with no fixed start dates or deadlines, allowing individuals to engage with the material at their own pace.

This makes it well-suited for workforce development across diverse organisational contexts, and for integrating into your own training schedules. We are particularly interested in working with organisations to support staff and volunteer development at scale, including options for bulk enrolment and tailored access.

How will I be assessed?

Each CPD unit concludes with a short multiple-choice quiz that you can retake as needed. Your progress is tracked automatically, and once you achieve the required pass mark across all unit quizzes, your certificate of completion is issued.
