Through our learning and teaching, we’ll support you to realise your potential, broaden your horizons and hone your skills.
Your learning is at the heart of what we do
We want all our students to leave Edinburgh Napier as highly employable, confident individuals with the knowledge and skills to make a positive contribution to society.
We aim to develop both your subject expertise and wider personal skills. Our ambitions go well beyond your degree and first job. We want to prepare you for a career and life as an independent, critical thinker and a lifelong learner.
95% of our students are in work or further study within six months of graduating. We build employability into every aspect of our courses, giving you the practical skills and real-life experience to succeed.
Our courses are designed with and reviewed by our industry partners to give you the best chance of success. Entrepreneurship is embedded within our courses and encouraged and supported by our staff.
We have a growing number of partnerships with local and national organisations. Placements, industrial projects, talks and visits are all part of our teaching, giving you the opportunity to work with industry professionals, all of which adds value to your studies.
Our learning options are designed to fit around your needs and commitments. As well as full-time, we also offer part-time, online and flexible learning options meaning you can study at a pace and place that suits you.
We continually update our facilities to reflect changes in technology and industry. For example, we have recently completed work on our biomechanics lab, crime scene and forensic rooms and have a computer games lab, newsroom and industry-standard music studios.
Many of our lecturers are active professional practitioners or researchers. Our staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and skilled and will challenge you to achieve your full potential.
We use a range of assessment methods to challenge you and build your confidence and skills. Many of our assessments are practical, giving you an opportunity to experience real-life projects and situations.
Your feedback is vital to the improvement of our courses. We continually engage with students to ensure our courses meet your needs.
