Edinburgh Napier’s Head of International Recruitment has added to her deep connection to the University by graduating with an MBA in Leadership and Innovation.
Alice Jarrold crossed the stage with her fellow students from The Business School during a graduation ceremony at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh today.
Alice’s links to ENU stretch back even before her time studying. Her mum studied at the institution in the 1980s, when it was a technical college, while her dad graduated with an MBA in the early 2000s.
In 2016, Alice began her own journey with ENU, studying Psychology and taking on the role of Student Ambassador – helping at open days and fielding calls from prospective students on the enquiries phoneline.
After graduating, she moved into the International Recruitment team, and has since progressed through the department to her current position as Head of International Recruitment.
Reacting to her graduation, Alice said: “Edinburgh Napier has played such an important role in my life, both personally and professionally, that I feel incredibly privileged to work here and to share my experiences with future students.
“Having seen the university from so many different perspectives, as the child of graduates, a student, a student ambassador, a professional staff member and now an MBA graduate, I have developed a deep appreciation for the opportunities it creates.
“Completing my MBA alongside a busy leadership role has not always been easy, particularly when balancing study with extensive international travel.
“I would not have been able to achieve it without the flexibility and support offered through the Global Online programme.
“The experience has challenged me, developed my leadership skills and allowed me to apply my learning directly to my professional role, making it an incredibly rewarding journey.”
