The Scottish Revival Network was led by researchers at Edinburgh Napier and Stirling Universities. The network explored the revival in Scottish literature and culture from the 1880s to the 1950s. The network was active between 2021 and 2023, and was funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh

The network initiated conversations and debates on the topic of Scottish revival in literature and culture from the 1880s to the 1950s. Led by Dr Scott Lyall, Associate Professor in Modern and Scottish Literature at Edinburgh Napier University, in collaboration with Dr Michael Shaw (Lecturer at the University of Stirling), the network proposes a ‘long’ Scottish Revival that makes explicit the cultural, intellectual and political links between the fin-de-siècle Scottish Revival and the Scottish renaissance movement of the early decades of the twentieth century. Beginning in August 2021, the network brought together an international group of academics for a series of online events, as well as an event in collaboration with the Patrick Geddes Centre.
