The Business School campus

Home to the Business School, Craiglockhart campus blends the old and the new. Set within attractive grounds overlooking Edinburgh, facilities include 200- and 400-seat lecture theatres and language and multimedia labs. It's also home to our innovation and enterprise centre.

Our architecturally stunning Craiglockhart campus is home to the Business School. Beautifully merging the old with the new, the iconic Lindsay Stewart lecture theatre sits comfortably alongside the original building with Wester Craiglockhart Hill as a backdrop.

Inside you'll find all the facilities required to produce graduates ready to succeed in the world of business.

Getting here

Our Craiglockhart campus is well-served by public transport to and from the centre of the city. In addition, there are numerous cycle paths in the area and bike storage facilities on site.

By bus

Several Lothian Buses services from the city centre stop close to the campus:
  • Services 4, 10, 27 and 45 stop on nearby Colinton Road at bus stop "Craiglockhart Campus"
  • Service 36 stops nearby at bus stop on Glenlockhart Road at bus stop "Craiglockhart Campus". 

Edinburgh boasts a very efficient network of environmentally friendly buses that will take you all across the city and out to the suburbs. All our campuses are served by Lothian Buses offers for a flat-rate fare throughout the city, making getting to university cheap and easy. What's more, full-time students are also eligible for a Student Ridacard offering discounted travel.

While there is no direct bus service from Edinburgh Airport to the campus, you can easily take Service 100 from the airport (Stance D) to Haymarket Station, walk one minute to Dalry Place, and take Service 4 to "Craiglockhart Campus".

A Transport for Edinburgh app is available free for smartphones and offers live bus information and electronic ticketing.

By train

Slateford station is just under a mile from the campus, while Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket stations are situated in the city centre. From Edinburgh Waverley, take a Lothian Buses 4 or 10 from Princes Street or a 45 from North Bridge; from Haymarket, take a Lothian Buses 4 from Dalry Road.

By bike

Edinburgh is home to an expanding network of cycle paths and covered and secure bike storage as well as shower facilities are available at the campus. The City of Edinburgh Council publishes useful information on planning cycle routes within the city.

By car

The campus is situated in a residential area to the south-west of the city. Please note that on-campus parking is strictly by permit only, with limited on-street parking available in the surrounding area.
