CHME 2022 Transport

Buses

Lothian Buses is Edinburgh’s best option for getting you to Craighlockhart Campus and around the city. You can download the app from their website, but can also purchase tickets on the bus by cash, card or by using your smartphone.

Trams

Edinburgh Trams will not get you to our campus but this is a very easy way to get around the city centre, and also to and from the airport. You can purchase tickets using your smartphone, or the ticket machines at each platform. Just make sure you buy your ticket before you get on!

Trains

Edinburgh’s two main train stations are Edinburgh Waverly and Haymarket and are both easily accessible via tram or bus. Scotrail is the best place to get information on train arrival and departure times. Slateford station is the closest station to Criaglockhart Campus. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk from Slateford station to the campus – but be aware, it’s all uphill from the station to the campus! Perhaps the bus is a more comfortable option…

Taxi

You can catch a taxi pretty easily in Edinburgh, especially if you are near one of the main stations or central locations. You can pay by cash or card (always best to check before you get in) and a taxi from the city centre to our campus would cost between £10-20 and take between 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Perfect if you are travelling as a group of 3-5.
