Open Days

Our next Edinburgh Napier Open Days are 20 September and 1 November 2025 for students looking to start university in 2026 and beyond.

ENU Open Days will run from 10am-3pm across all three of our campuses, with a chance to talk to lecturers and current students to explore your course options and get a feel for student life.

When are Edinburgh Napier University Open Days?

Our next Open Days are on 20 September and 1 November 2025. Each university open day usually lasts several hours, with activities running from morning into early afternoon. At Edinburgh Napier our Open Days run 10am to 3pm. You’ll receive a full timetable by email before the day, and printed copies are available when you arrive.

How can I prepare for an Open Day?

Before our Edinburgh Napier University Open Day, it’s important to register now.

When you register, check if you or your guests have any accessibility or support requirements and let us know in advance so we can help you make the most of your visit.

If you’re thinking ‘What should I wear to a uni open day?’ Think comfort above style. Comfortable shoes and clothes are best. You’ll be walking between campus facilities, viewing student accommodation, and maybe exploring Edinburgh’s cobbled streets – so dress for comfort and a mix of Autumn weather to enjoy your day fully.

How do I get to Edinburgh Napier's Open Day?

We have three campuses in Edinburgh, all accessible by public transport on the west side of the city:

Merchiston Campus: Engineering, Computing, Creative Industries

Sighthill Campus: Applied Sciences, Nursing, Sport Sciences

Craiglockhart Campus: Business School, Law, Marketing, Tourism

Parking near campuses is limited, so plan your journey in advance.

The Edinburgh bus network is first class for getting you around, with over 50 different routes crossing all over the city. Our favourite is the number 36, which connects all three of our campuses to the city centre.

You can also get the tram to Sighthill campus, or walk to Merchiston within 30 minutes from Haymarket Station.

What happens at Open Day?

At an Edinburgh Napier Open Day, you can:

Explore your campus and join tours of student accommodation (book these on arrival as places fill quickly)

Attend course presentations relevant to your chosen subject area

Talk to lecturers about courses, chat with staff about support and facilities, and hear from Student Ambassadors about their experiences

Collect and keep a timetable to navigate the day easily

Take notes on important details like entry requirements and accommodation costs to help with your decision later

What should I do after Open Day?

After your university open day visit, delve deeper into any courses that caught your interest by exploring our course pages for entry requirements, course structure, and career prospects.

Talk to family or friends who came with you about their impressions and make a pros and cons list for each university you visit, factoring in things like distance from home, facilities, accommodation and employment opportunities. But don’t forget to trust your intuition about the community vibe and whether campus life feels like a good fit for you too.

Check your fees and funding options to understand your tuition fees status. If your visit has helped you decide, it might be time to start your UCAS application for 2026 entry.
