Refresher Training for Practice Educators and Link Workers

This two-day online interactive workshop will focus on supporting you to refresh your knowledge, competence and confidence in the practice educator/link worker role. It will introduce and explore contemporary insights and practice issues, and enable you to reflect on the rewards and challenges that commonly arise in this role. Through attending the workshop, you will have the opportunity to interact and network with your peers, and to re-engage in practice learning.

Edinburgh Napier University has an established portfolio of social work education with a focus on practice learning. We are proud to be working in liaison with Social Work Education Partnership (SWEP) to provide a unique learning experience for practice educators and link workers currently active in this role or considering returning to it.

Who can attend?

Practice educators and link workers who have had experience of supporting and/or assessing social work students on practice placements. 

What is the commitment?

The course is delivered online over two-days: 29 April and 13 May. Attendance on both days is required for the Certificate of Completion.

Evidence of completion

Once you have worked your way through the resources you will be able to download your certificate of completion.
