Biography

Allan worked as a newspaper and digital journalist for over 20 years and has edited magazines and worked as a PR account manager.
Allan is also a qualified Magistrate, having served on the Teesside bench from 2007 to 2012.
He began his teaching career at Teesside University in the Business School and also worked in the School of Arts.

  • Gave evidence to Edinburgh Council as part of its inquiry into the validity and future importance of the UK journalism media (March 2015)
