Biography

Over the last thirty years Cox has exhibited photography and video art internationally, curated research and artist exhibitions, worked with large scale research projects in has organised national and international student exhibitions with inter- institutional projects. He has exhibited in major world galleries such as the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography and Tel Aviv Museum of Art and has shown extensively in the United Kingdom. He has worked in collaboration with The Barbican Centre and The National Portrait Gallery in London and have exhibited widely in Scotland at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Glasgow and The Fruit Market Gallery in Edinburgh. His curatorial interests have manifested in international artist research shows Tic Tak Toc” at Skopje Museum of Modern Art, Macedonia and ‘Captured’ at Tramway in Glasgow. In May 2012 Cox completed a retrospective show at Video Pool Media Arts Centre and Gurevich Fine Art Gallery in Winnipeg Canada.

Research Interests
Digital enhancement of camera obscurea, public art, MIDI interactivity with sculpture, video and light, curation and exhibition of installation and new media art, digital postproduction techniques in contemporary art and digital photographic panoramas and composite prints. New ideas of Multi focal plane photography and photo/video based architectural post visualization simulation are ongoing.
