Biography
Louise joined the Centre for Offsite Construction + Innovative Structures (COCIS), within Edinburgh Napier University's Institute for Sustainable Construction, as a research assistant during her undergraduate studies in 2019. Since graduating with an MSc in Structural Engineering Louise has continued to develop her timber engineering research career and has been involved in a variety of innovation projects with the aim of engineering a more sustainable construction sector.
The utilisation of homegrown timber and its circularity within the Scottish construction sector is an area of particular interest to Louise. Through collaborating with key industry partners such as Offsite Solutions Scotland, Construction Scotland Innovation Centre and Scottish Forestry, Louise is at the forefront of R&D within the Scottish construction sector.
