CSIC - Edinburgh Home Demonstrator
  The “Edinburgh Home Demonstrator” (EHD) Programme seeks to demonstrate the time, cost, quality, and carbon improvements in new affordable housing programme through the following projects:
1. Development and Delivery of a New Business Model based on Collaborative Procurement aka the Procurement Model: A new approach for collaborative procurement and delivery of affordable housing;
2. Standardised Product and Whole Life Performance Specifications aka The Housing Catalogue: A catalogue of standardised house types adhering to whole-life performance standards, including future maintenance and energy costs;
3. Demonstration of the new Business Model to procure and build from the housing catalogue an initial phase of 1000 homes: These homes will be as close to net zero carbon as possible and will inform the route map by which Scot Gov’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme will achieve net zero carbon housing by 2040;
4. Risk and benefits sharing between partners: A framework will be developed through which the performance of the new collaborative business model and partners can be measured and improved over time and included benefits sharing.
