The assistant director of the International Centre for Management & Governance Research (ICMGR), Dr Marizah Minhat, and Associate Professor Nazam Dzolkarnaini are undertaking a research collaboration with the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) on directors' remuneration of government-linked corporations (GLC) in Malaysia.
The project calls for improved regulation and greater transparency in the reporting of GLC-directors' pay. The public as stakeholders of such corporations have the right to know whether the spending on directors' pay is proportionate to performance.
