Low-Profile and SWB Phased Array Antenna with Semi-Circular Loop Resonators for 5G/6G Systems
Phased array antennas with broadband and super-wideband (SWB) capabilities, featuring extensive scanning and end-fire radiations, are imperative to meet the evolving demands of future cellular systems. This paper explores the properties of a new design, incorporating low-profile and SWB resonators tailored for advanced fifth-generation (5G) communications. Its methodology is uncomplicated and executed seamlessly on the mainboard of prospective mobile handsets. The design comprises eight semi-circular loop resonators arranged in a 1×8 linear configuration. Covering a broad frequency band from 27 to 45 GHz with a -10dB threshold, this design spans multiple bands within the 5G and 6G spectra. Beyond the straightforward design process, the phased array antenna's intrinsic features aim to address the multifaceted requirements of future wireless systems.
