Strengthening the contribution of non-executive members to Scottish boards in the private, third and public sectors
This report examines the role of non-executive directors in public, private and third sector organisations in Scotland. It considers how their role could be changed to improve the governance and oversight role performed by non-exectuive directors.

The report is based on interviews with current and former non-executive directors across Scotland. The results suggest the need for greater training for indivciduals who are, or are seeking to become non-executive directors.
