Gender Imbalance in Digital Technology
This project will examine what tertiary education institutions are doing to help tackle the gender imbalance in their Digital Technology courses. It will focus on the area of positive female role models and their use to raise awareness, aspirations and overcome stereotypes amongst school aged pupils as well as helping to drive recruitment to further and higher education courses. This project will take a deeper dive into what institutions are doing in the area of using positive female role models, how these initiatives work, are measured and evaluated and determine the key success factors. The aim is to identify good practice and help the sector move towards using best practice models for this type of intervention and let institutions know what they need to do to make these interventions successful.
