Investigating and improving induction training for CS work-based learning workplace mentors, especially to ensure inclusion
  This study investigates and induction training for Computing work-based learning workplace mentors, especially to ensure inclusion. Through the Council of Professors and Heads of Computing (CPHC) the study will gather information from computing departments in the UK and workplace mentors who support Edinburgh Napier University and University of Glasgow students and apprentices during work-based learning.
The aims are to
• Identify and share best practice/ resources for inducting/ training/ supporting mentors for Computing work-based learning.
• Promote mentorship which supports inclusion.
• Support effective work-based learning experiences that encourage diverse students and apprentices to continue careers in computing.
• Further good relationships between employer organisations and our computing departments.
Outputs will include a best practice guide.
