  Web3 is described as the evolution of the world wide web from the internet of information to the internet of value. The underlying goal of Web3 is a decentralised system where users control their own data and digital assets. This premise in turn brings about the challenge and complexity of securely managing one’s own data and assets.

While the decentralised objectives of the Web3 are about giving back control to the user and eliminating the need for intermediaries, from an asset perspective, this is akin to saving all your money under the mattress instead of the bank. For some users, and in certain use cases, there remains the need of custodians for digital assets.

LastingAsset is building a novel decentralised secure custody solution.

By the end of the project, we will:

- explore multiple use cases in various markets.
- identify the beachhead market.
- prototype the solution.
