Within the Lighting sector there is a growing focus around the key themes of circular economy and product environmental footprinting and, against a background of European directives that will come making circular economy designs and practices mandatory in the future, there is a urgent need to move beyond energy performance and consider the environmental impact of the whole of the product life cycle. While this has been achieved in some other built environment sectors , Stoane (and indeed the whole industry) must learn how to do this effectively for lighting
