How to apply

Every year we welcome hundreds of visiting students from all over the world. You can choose modules relevant to your degree programme and study with us while enjoying all the benefits of living in Scotland's beautiful capital city. Apply by following our step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Choose your modules

Before you apply, review and select your preferred modules from our list. Download our module guidelines and options.

Step 2: Apply Online

Applications are now closed and will reopen for the January 2027 intake on 15 September 2026.

Step 3 : Your application confirmed

You will receive an email to confirm that your online application has been received.

Step 4: Your application assessed

Your application and module choices will be assessed by academic staff. This process can take a number of weeks. Enrolment on your preferred modules is not guaranteed. Your choices will be confirmed either before you arrive or on arrival.

Step 5: Get ready to study

We will contact you before your exchange begins with your pre-arrival information. Please check your emails regularly after you have applied.
