African Scholarship for Nigerian students

We have partial scholarships available for self-funding students from Nigeria.

About the scholarship

Please note applications for this scholarship are now closed for students starting their course in September 2022.

We have a limited number of partial scholarships worth £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in Africa starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in January 2023.


To be eligible for this award, you must be:

  • domiciled in Africa at the time of application
  • self-funding your course
  • meet the entry criteria for a bachelors or 1 year masters course in January 2023

Two year Masters courses are not eligible for this scholarship. In addition, you are not eligible if you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship. 

Application process

Please note applications for this scholarship are closed for students starting their course in September 2022. If you have applied for a course starting in January 2023 and paid your deposit, please contact us on the email below to be considered. 

Scholarships are awarded automatically once you have paid your £3,500 deposit payment towards your tuition fees. The number of scholarships is limited and they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have paid your deposit, please email to be considered.

Details for your visa

The scholarship amount will be shown on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email that we issue for your Student Route Visa application.
