Undergraduate
In Scotland, undergraduate courses (called honours degrees) are designed to include four years of study, which is unique in the UK. Honours degrees offer enhanced flexibility and academic breadth.
You are eligible to apply if you received your High School Graduation Diploma with a GPA of 2.8 or above with one of the following:
- SAT score of 1000 or higher with a minimum of 500 in each component
- ACT score of 24 or higher
- 3 related Advanced Placement tests (AP's) with a grade of 4 or higher
If you're applying with the GED, you are eligible if you have a pass in each of the 4 sections with a minimum score of 145/200 and an overall score of 580/800. You would need one of the 3 requirements above in addition.
If you're applying with an International Baccalaureate (IB), you are eligible if you have a minimum score of 26-30 in relevant subjects.
If you have attended a community college or would like to transfer to Edinburgh Napier, you may be considered for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a relevant degree course. Contact us to find out if you're eligible.

Postgraduate
Our taught postgraduate degrees are one year in duration.
You are eligible to apply if you completed a bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or above.
No GRE/GMAT test scores are required.
Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.
Undergraduate
International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - High School Diploma GPA 2.0 OR Pre March 2016 SATR 1330/2400 OR Post March 2016 SATR minimum 470 (R+W) + 520 (Maths) = 990
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - High School Diploma GPA 2.5 AND Successful completion of the Advanced Placement (score of 3 or above) OR Pre March 2016 SATR 1360/2400 OR Post March 2016 SATR minimum 480 (R+W) + 530 (Maths) = 1010 OR ACTs with minimum composite score of 20
Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
Academic requirement - Bachelor degree GPA 2.4 and above
