“Edinburgh Napier will help me develop an open-minded and global perspective”

When I decided to study abroad, Edinburgh Napier University was the one and only university I applied for. I chose to study the MBA at here because the course is relevant to my previous work experience, including marketing, business and project management.

Edinburgh Napier also offers a global and diversified environment which will help me to develop a more open-minded and global perspective, which I value highly.

Moreover, one of my close friends, who used to study at Edinburgh Napier, recommended it to me. A variety of scholarships and bursaries are available for students with financial needs all around the world.

“You can tell they really care about students”

Edinburgh Napier provides all the facilities and skills for your study. I was nervous about the academic writing at the beginning since there is a great difference compared to the higher education of my home country and English is not my first language. Then I realized Edinburgh Napier offers academic writing workshops and one-on-one appointments, library search tutorials, and IT support, which I benefitted from. The professors and lecturers are patient and supportive. You can tell they really care about students and make their best efforts to help those in need.

I love the balance and equal focus on theory and practice in the courses at Edinburgh Napier. Edinburgh Napier provides various working related workshops and events such as work fairs, CV and interview advice to help you prepare for the working world that you will face after graduating.

“On the day I arrived in Edinburgh, a local guided me to my accommodation and even helped carry my suitcase”

Scotland is a beautiful country with its unique culture, heritage and stunning castles and palaces. Scottish people are kind-hearted, polite and open-minded. I’ve received lots of help from them since I came here. For instance, on the first day I arrived in Edinburgh, a local guided me to my accommodation and even helped carry my suitcase. A bus driver waited for me after he saw me chasing the bus when I was not familiar with the bus system here in the first couple days. Scottish people may be shy but when you need help, they will always be there for you. All you need to do is simply ask.
