Biography
Dr John McGowan is a lecturer in Interactive Visual and Audio Technology at Napier. His current research interests are looking at ways in which to assist autistic adults in helping manage stress through Augmented Reality technology. His PhD involved the production and investigation of the use an interactive real-time audio-visual tool to aid in music therapy for people on the autism spectrum. He is a certified Audiokinetic Wwise instructor, as well as being a 3D Animation generalist. In addition, he is an award winning musician, and continues to integrate the development of music and production techniques within his academic work.
