Biography
John's practice-based PhD employed Research through Design (RtD) as a mode of trauma-informed inquiry. He is interested in generative design research techniques focusing on co-constructing insights that explore the participatory and agential potential of lens-based technologies. His research led to a role in the Love group for the Scottish Independent Care Review. His collaborative performances at the UK Department of Education and the Scottish Parliament were designed to provoke policy changes in the design and delivery of care service provision.
