Biography

Dr Marinelli is a Civil Engineer (MEng, MSc, PhD, EUR-Ing, FHEA), having started her research career at the National Technical University of Athens and the European Research project ‘PROHITECH: PROtection of HIstorical Structures by Reversible Mixed TECHnologies’. She has significant industry experience, having worked as a Structural Engineer for the Greek Ministry of Public Works, where she supervised the design of large scale infrastructure projects, before joining Edinburgh Napier University as a Lecturer in 2015. Her current research lies within the filed of structural assessment and optimisation of structural interventions to stone masonry monuments, for which she cooperates with local authorities and stakeholders.
