Associate Professor

Biography

Dr Eoin Plant-O’Toole is an Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Edinburgh Napier University Business School. Eoin is Head of Research Degrees in the Business School and programme lead for the MSc Global Logistics and Supply Chain Analytics. Eoin also sits on the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ireland and currently chairs CILT Ireland’s Policy Committee.

Eoin has held a number of academic positions in the UK and Ireland. Including head of the National Institute for Transport and Logistics (NITL), and Assistant Head - School of Transport Engineering, Environment and Planning at Technological University Dublin. Eoin has been on national expert advisory panels (Ireland) for logistics and supply chains. He has also published in a variety of international journals. His research is not only focused on the policy level, but also the practical elements for industry.

Eoin was previously head of the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) programme at the University of Glamorgan. He has supervised PhD and DBA researchers to completion and examined in a number of UK and Irish institutions. He is open to supervising new PhD students.
