Biography

Pauline Anne Gordon is Deputy Head of International (Partnerships) in the Business School at Edinburgh Napier University. Pauline is responsible for developing international partnerships and managing strong collaborative relationships with education providers and agents across the globe. Pauline works with colleagues across the Business School and supports members of the international team to contribute to the university’s international strategy for growth and diversification in various locations such as Europe, Switzerland, UAE, China and Asia. Pauline's doctoral study and research focus on the transition of international students, thus she is well placed to serve as the Business School’s Link Tutor between Edinburgh Napier University and Oxford International College. The purpose of this role is to support communication between the two entities and ensure the smooth transition of international students. Part of this role also involves providing regular updates, and insights to various committees in the Business School and the wider University. Pauline is a lecturer in the Business School at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. She is involved in the designing and delivering of hospitality and tourism subjects to a variety of students, including national and international. Pauline has comprehensive knowledge of the International Hospitality and Tourism Industry and her strengths include managing collaborative partnerships with national and international stakeholders. Pauline is responsible for the following:

• Researching, designing and delivering hospitality and tourism
subjects to a variety of students, including national and international and students with English as a second language.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the International Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
• Excellent relationships and experience of designing and managing collaborative partnerships with national and international stakeholders.
• Experience on validation panels as an external examiner for various international programmes administered by universities throughout the United Kingdom.
• Presentation of research papers at national conferences which focus on teaching and learning in higher education.
• Successful in organising a scholarship initiative for underprivileged students to study at Edinburgh Napier University which brought extensive international media coverage to the university.

Pauline has comprehensive knowledge of the International Hospitality and Tourism Industry and is a Visiting Faculty Member at the Lovely Professional University, India.
