Visit from National Biofilms Innovation Centre

On the 4th June 2019, we will welcome a visit from Dr Katerina Steventon from the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (an Innovation Knowledge Centre jointly funded by the BBSRC, Innovate UK, and the Hartree Centre). Katerina is Senior Innovation Consultant at the NBIC and the link for universities in the north of the UK.

The NBIC mission is to link research institutes across the UK with a broad network of leading industrial companies and innovative SMEs, in order to establish a network of research and innovation capacity in the study of biofilms. The scope of the centre includes design, control and detection of biofilms, exploitation of biofilms for good as well as eradication of undesirable biofilms, and all industries/sectors, and cross-disciplinary.

At this meeting, Katerina will provide an overview of the NBIC, followed by introductions from ENU participants to share their research interests and discussion of biofilm related research questions.
