About the scholarship 

The School of Engineering & the Built Environment is providing £1,200 in support to Scottish students entering certain Engineering degrees from further education, to assist with living costs in the transition to university. 

Eligibility

Scottish students who start this degree in September 2024 by direct entry to Year 2 or Year 3 of the below programmes, following an HNC or HND at a Scottish college, will be eligible for a bursary of £1200. 

  • MEng Civil & Transportation Engineering
  • BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
  • MEng Civil Engineering
  • BEng (Hons) Energy & Environmental Engineering
  • BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering 
  • MEng Mechanical Engineering

There is no application process for this bursary. 

 

The bursary will be paid in two instalments of £600 in September and December 2024 following successful matriculation on the programme. This is payable in addition to any other financial support that students may be eligible for.
