Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We welcome applications from students with the Icelandic Stúdentspróf for most subjects and pass with grade 6 overall. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher, then grade 6 in that subject will be required. Grade 5 or above will be required for any National 5 required subjects.

Please note that international students are unable to enrol onto the Nursing programmes.

International Baccalaureate

Award of Diploma with between 26 and 29 points or above depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then grade 5 or above in HL is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.

European Baccalaureate

Pass with between 60 and 70% depending on the course you choose to apply for. If a course requires a specific subject at grade B at SQA Higher then 70% is required. Please see each individual course webpage for specific entry requirements.

Postgraduate

For entry to most postgraduate taught or research degrees, you must have a good undergraduate degree from a recognised university.

If you have a Baccalaurreatus (Bachelor degree) or Kandidatspróf / Candidatus Mag, you are asked to achieve a grade of 7.0 or better 

English language

We offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. Some courses may require a higher English language score. Please search for the course you're interested in to find out more.
