Undergraduate

You will be eligible to apply if you have gained the required scores in the International Baccalaureate or GCE A-Levels, Foundation, Diploma and Polytechnic Diploma for entry to year one and two.

English language

If you are applying to an undergraduate programme you are required to have achieved Cambridge O Level English Grade C or above.

If you are applying to a postgraduate programme you are not required to take an English language test like IELTS, as long as the bachelor degree was taught and examined in English.

We also offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. 

Pathway programmes

Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.

Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters. 

Undergraduate

International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.

Academic requirement - Singapore/Cambridge O level/IGCSE with C/C6 or above (in at least 5 subjects)

International Year Two

English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.

Academic requirement - Singapore/Cambridge A level (32-80 UCAS tariff equivalent) or O Levels plus satisfactory completion of two years’ study towards Polytechnic Diploma/ Polytechnic Certificate/Polytechnic Advanced Diploma with pass grades

Postgraduate

International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components

Academic requirement - Specialist Diploma with 75% or GPA 3.5/4
Bachelor Degree with below 65% or Third class
