The Business School has built its reputation on connecting academic research with the realities of contemporary practice and HRM and HRD sit at the heart of that identity: its MSc Human Resource Management is the longest-established CIPD-accredited programme in Scotland and from September 2026 the Business School will offer the UK's first CIPD-accredited MSc HRM with AI- a programme designed to prepare the next generation of HR professionals.

The Business School holds AACSB International accreditation, a globally recognised benchmark of excellence in business education held by fewer than 6% of institutions worldwide offering business degrees. The School's programmes are also accredited or recognised by a range of leading professional bodies, including CIPD, CMI, etc, reinforcing its commitment to professional relevance and high-quality business education. Edinburgh Napier University is currently ranked the top modern university in Scotland in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 and has also been recognised as the top university in Edinburgh for overall student satisfaction, a position it has held since 2020.

Visiting Edinburgh

Delegates will have the chance to experience one of Europe's great capital cities alongside the conference programme. Edinburgh's Old Town and Georgian New Town together form a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city's skyline dominated by Edinburgh Castle, perched on its volcanic rock above the Royal Mile, is among the most recognisable in the world. June puts the city at its best: long daylight hours, mild weather and a packed calendar of open-air events in the run-up to the summer festival season.

Beyond the castle, delegates can explore the Royal Mile's closes and museums, the Scottish Parliament and Palace of Holyrood, the Royal Yacht Britannia at Ocean Terminal and the hands-on science centre at Dynamic Earth. For a change of pace, Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park offer an easy climb and sweeping views back over the city.

Edinburgh is well connected for international and domestic delegates alike: Edinburgh Airport offers direct flights to major European and North American hubs and the city's Waverley and Haymarket stations provide frequent, fast rail links across the UK, including direct services to and from London in around four and a half hours. The Craiglockhart Campus sits on the southside of the city, a short bus or taxi ride from the centre, giving delegates easy access to accommodation, dining and the city's attractions throughout their stay.
