Biography

ENTERPRISING & INTERNATIONAL

I am the Global Online MBA Programme Leader and Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Edinburgh Napier University. I hold a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and an honorary fellowship at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

ENGAGING & INNOVATIVE

I have over 12 years' academic and practitioner experience as a business school researcher and lecturer in the UK and Singapore, and previously as a change manager in a Microsoft technology consultancy. I have experience working with a range of organisations in higher education, local government, healthcare, transport, energy, construction, information technology, financial services and hospitality. I am currently involved in a Scottish Government funded commercial project that explores how SMEs in Scotland can accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by measuring sustainability impact.

INFLUENTIAL RESEARCH & KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

My specialist interests include sustainable human resource management and the management of the employment relationship within the context of organisational change. My research and knowledge exchange work are focused on environmental leadership, employee engagement, technology and action learning.
