Biography

Dr Joan McLatchie is a Senior Lecturer within the Tourism & Languages subject group at Edinburgh Napier University Business School, specialising in Business Event Management and Business Tourism. She has a specific interest in Learning, Teaching & Assessment, and teaches Academic Literacies to international postgraduate students, supporting them in their transition onto a UK MSc degree programme. Joan has taught in Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland and India on the university’s transnational programmes. Her research interests lie in equality, diversity and inclusion. She is particularly interested in transcultural academic practice, including the experience of both students and academics.
