Entry requirements

Undergraduate

Students would generally be required to complete an international pathway programme to be considered for entry to one of our bachelor courses. 

Postgraduate

Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained one of the following qualifications with an overall grade of 2.5/4.0 or C+ or 50% and above:

  • Bachelor with five years relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor (in Medicine or Surgery) / Postgraduate Diploma with two years relevant work experience.
  • Master's Degree

Our courses

English language

Students who are applying to an undergraduate programme are required to have completed the School Certificate English Grade 6/Credit.

Students applying to a postgraduate programme are not required to take an English language test like IELTS, as long as the bachelor degree was taught and examined in English.

Pathway programmes

Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.

Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.

 

Undergraduate

International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.

Academic requirement - School Certificate/General Certificate of Education with grades 1 – 6 (in at least 6 subjects)

International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.

Academic requirement - GCE A Levels – 2 passes D grade average or successful completion of High School plus  at least one year of study at degree level

Postgraduate

International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components

Academic requirement - Master’s degree with GPA below 2.5/4.0 or Third class or a 4/5 year Bachelor degree with 3.0/4.0 or diploma equivalent
