Entry requirements


If you are from the Dominican Republic, you would generally be required to complete an international foundation programme to be considered for entry to year one of our bachelor courses.

Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained a Licenciado / Título de [subject area] with 70% or above.

English language

Students from the Dominican Republic are required to sit an English language test to gain entry to the University.

We also offer various pre-sessional English language programmes for applicants who have test results below the programme requirement. 

Some courses may require a higher English language score. Please search for the course you're interested in to find out more.

There are a number of different scholarships available to help reduce the cost of studying at Edinburgh Napier University.

MESCyT Scholarship Programme

In 2014, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) signed an agreement with Edinburgh Napier University to provide scholarships to students from the Dominican Republic at Masters level. Under this agreement, a number of sponsored students will be eligible to enter Masters courses at the University from our extensive range of programmes including:

MSc Healthcare Management

MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering

MSc Transport Planning and Engineering
